It’s been a while since my last post - I know. But anyway, take a look at the new virtual earth service from microsoft. They got really cool satellite images! For ex. try the Pentagon..

University keeps me busy - two and a half weeks from now I’ll have my second wave of exams this year including swiss federal law, business administration, economics, spanish, maths and social studies. So there’s not much time left for hacking around :-(

update (29.7.05): One of the coolest sites I’ve seen lately - a live comparison between google maps and virtual earth!
By the way, I read that the microsoft satellite maps are from the nineties, because the apple headquarter is yet not visible on their maps system..

  1. I read on another blog that the satallite images are in fact really old ones as they still have the twin towers there.

  2. Yea, I think you’re right - take a look at this.

  3. Its not even a question - have you seen microsofts start.com? Its like they copy/pasted (http://www.start.com/3/)

  4. At least this is one market Microsoft won’t win!

  5. The images are indeed old.
