Wouldn’t it be nice to start working now (with a successfull degree), maybe even at Google Zurich? Since they are expanding heavily, I’m sure this would be a great opportunity!

If you want to apply, get yourself ready for a long term application process. I was trying to get a job at google a while ago (didn’t succeed), and it took almost half a year. Apparently, they’re checking thoroughly whom to take … A friend of mine works there, he applied for the same job
Thanks for your advice André - So where are you working now?
I’ve been through the application-process of Google Netherlands in February and March of last year. I made it to round six. Then I sort of had it with Google: they wanted to knwo a lot about me but were unwilling to tell me anything about the primary stuff I wanted to know. All very obscure. When I heard a vague story about the working-times I had it completelty: start around 10:00 / 10:30AM and work until late in the evening. Since it´s an American company I don’t expect working overtime being will be paid and stuff like that.

Now I’m glad I made the switch within my current company in becoming an Oracle DBA!
