Google released a firefox plug-in called Google Gears today which offers offline-storage functionality for websites.
It appears to be pretty cool from a technological point of view. But I do not see the point in struggling with syncing data for offline use. Isn’t almost everybody connected to the internet all the time? Picture all the possible connections you have: access at work, some wifi network, your cellphone, home. Or is it all about redundancy and backups?
